As PRN Infusion/Oncology Pharmacist, you will review and verify medication orders, primarily chemotherapies and other hazardous drugs for oncology patients. You will be responsible for monitoring for clinical appropriateness of chemotherapy and other medications. Oversight of Pharmacy Technicians and final check and approval of medications prior to dispensing is also a responsibility.

Minimum Education and Experience:
  1. Current District of Columbia pharmacist license or proof of eligibility for licensure by reciprocity or exam. (Current District of Columbia license is necessary to act in official capacity of Pharmacist. See Graduate Pharmacist job description.)
  2. Bachelor of Science in pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy degree from an accredited school of pharmacy.
  3. A minimum of 1-2 years experience in hospital pharmacy practice or completion of a pharmacy practice residency in the hospital setting is preferred.
  4. Current CPR Certification required.

Shift: Hours may be irregular and include evenings, nights, weekends and holidays as necessary. In the absence of 24-hour pharmacy services, hours include rotating on-call coverage for drug information and emergency dispensing needs when the pharmacy is closed. PRN/On-Call, Candidate must be able to work at least 4 shifts per 6 week period, and at least one major and one minor holiday.

Salary Range: Minimum 71.00 per hour - Maximum 71.00 per hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.

In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
