Procedure Scheduler - HIMG-Surgery (Full Time) - 7328

Job Description

St. Mary's Medical Center is seeking a Procedure Scheduler at HIMG Surgery Dept. who is responsible for scheduling tests and surgical procedures and obtaining pre-authorization for procedures as directed by the specialty physician.

Requirements

EDUCATION:

High school diploma or equivalent. Medical Assistant: Successful completion of Medical Assistant training program and hold a State Certification in Medical Assisting.

EXPERIENCE:

Previous experience in a hospital or business department environment as Medical Assistant or scheduler required. Surgery scheduling experience preferred.

SKILLS:

Must be proficient with personal computer applications (Word and Excel) and have excellent data entry skills. Speed and accuracy in typing. Good mathematical skills. Must possess excellent communication and organizational skills with attention to detail. Ability to exercise good judgment and make decisions as reflected in the duties of this job description. Good interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
