The Process Change Technician for the Production Control Change Team is responsible for managing work requests, ensuring the timely delivery of high-quality products, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop and implement efficient manufacturing solutions. This role requires technical expertise in machinery operation, welding, painting, as well as proficiency in software tools such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD and Excel. The Process Technician will play a key role in maintaining a clean and safe work environment, upholding customer service standards, and identifying opportunities for process improvement. Additionally, the Process Change Tech will also be managing part change overs on the Assembly Line as and when the factory requires it.


Responsibilities
  • Identify and communicate improvement opportunities to Supervisor, Engineering, and Operations Leadership teams and execute special projects or assignments as directed
  • Perform cutovers for parts on the Assembly line, both physically and systematically
  • Prepare diagrams to illustrate workflow, product routing, floor layouts, material handling, and equipment utilization
  • Apply knowledge of 5S principles, Work Measurement, JIT production, Kanban, and problem-solving methods to optimize manufacturing and material flow efficiency
  • Build racks and utilize assembly hand tools such as wrenches, screwdrivers, and hammers for assembling rack components
  • Perform welding, painting, and spray-painting tasks on racks or equipment
  • Operate Forklifts, Scissor Lifts, EPJ, and Flatbeds proficiently for work-related activities


Requirements
  • Degree preferred in Industrial, Mechanical, Manufacturing Technology, or a related field or equivalent experience
  • Relevant work experience of 2-3 years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment, preferably in a process technician or similar role
  • Technical Skills should include proficiency in Excel, SolidWorks, and AutoCAD is preferred
  • Handle label printing experience and participation in special projects
  • Experience operating welding equipment (MIG, TIG, Arc) and should be able to weld; proficiency with cutting machines like plasma cutters, band saws, drilling machine, grinding machines, hydraulic press brakes, manual benders and spray guns for paint
  • Must have command of the English language, both written and verbal
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to perform physically demanding work for extended periods of time, up to 12 hours a day
  • Ability to stand and walk for up to 12 hours/day, including over varied and uneven terrain
  • Frequently and repetitively, lift, push and carry up to 35 lbs., including the ability to carry 20 lbs. up and down stairs
  • Frequently and repetitively, bend, lift and reach to install parts
  • Stoop, lay, bend, reach, squat, kneel, crouch, twist and crawl for extended periods of time, including up to 12 hours/day
  • Climb and maintain balance on ladders, scaffolding or other high structures
  • Ability to find issues in a work process and receive safety signals using sight, touch, and hearing
  • Wearing Personal Protective Equipment, including but not limited to: safety glasses, safety shoes, bump caps, arm protection, and adhering to prescribed safety rules and guidelines
