POSITION SUMMARY
Provide support / lead process improvement and technology initiatives in quality and manufacturing areas. Develop and support activities such as new automation to improve existing processes, technology transfer of new products, support and troubleshooting of existing automation. Other duties as assigned by the head of Process Improvement and Technology.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
This position is responsible for, but not limited to, the following:
• Lead development and implementation of process improvement projects which requires core technology of robotics and vision systems
• Lead technology transfer of manufacturing processes / products; this includes fixture design, process validation, work instructions, sampling plans, process controls, test methods and measurement techniques
• Process owner and troubleshooting responsibility of existing automation equipment and processes including, high precision measurement systems, PLC, HMI, robots, vision systems, mechanical / electrical /pneumatic devices
• Identify areas for process improvement; recommend, develop, and implement solutions
• Use 3D CAD software to design fixturing and automation systems
• Support NCMR's, ECO's, CAPA's, PFMEA's, GR&R, etc. as required
• Support on-going compliance through process changes and re-validation evaluation
• Maintain job related processes / work instructions
• Participate in meeting departmental goals and objectives
• Other duties as assigned by the head of Process Improvement and Technology

PHYSICAL ATTRIBUTES (If Applicable)
• Sit/stand for 8 hours

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor's degree in relevant engineering discipline
• 2+ years of experience with 3D CAD modeling

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Mechanical, electrical, pneumatic systems experience
• PLC Programming experience
• Working knowledge of process validation, failure investigation, PFMEA, GR&R, and quality systems in a medical device environment
• Working knowledge of QSR and ISO standards
• Project management skills - ability to lead projects from concept to production implementation, according to established timeline and budgetary goals.

• Excellent work ethic
• Word, Excel, Project, statistical software computer skills
