A Snapshot of Your Day:
Siemens Energy is seeking a leader for our Combustion Products Division to innovate and improve our manufacturing processes and equipment reliability. This role requires a blend of project management, continuous improvement, and strong internal communication skills, alongside a mechanical aptitude and problem-solving prowess, to enhance production capabilities and drive excellence in the energy sector.
How You'll Make an Impact:
  • Identify and support projects for improving manufacturing capability, yields, productivity, and capacity.
  • Incorporate Lean Manufacturing where appropriate into the processes, equipment, and tooling.
  • Develop and deliver technical information documents, estimates, reports, or training documentation.
  • Provide technical direction, training and education to internal customers and suppliers.
  • Provide technical support for department improvement projects.
  • Develop and lead new asset installation and Capital projects.
  • Monitors and analyses production and equipment performance metrics to ensure that cost and quality targets are maintained (production yield, defect Pareto's).
  • Identify and lead projects for improving equipment capability, yields, uptime, productivity, and capacity.
  • Makes full use of condition-based and predictive maintenance tools to support planned production targets and avoid unplanned repair work.
  • Provide technical support for department capital programs (implementation) and department improvement projects.
  • Vallen activity management - Manage inventory settings, develop strategy to meet business goals and needs, take corrective actions when stock outs occur and perform RCA.
  • CI, Flow and workshop involvement-Perform analysis for actual to targets KPI's, take corrective actions as the need arises when flow is interrupted, Manage Gemba tiered process.
  • Warehouse management-Fixture and development materials, manage outside storage locations to support business requirements.
  • Asset management-perform year audits and take corrective actions for missing items. Manage scrap process for area. Train personnel and update procedures as necessary.
  • Special projects as deemed vital by management.
What You Bring:
  • Incumbent will possess bachelor's in mechanical or manufacturing engineering degree or associate's degree with equivalent years of work experience.
  • 8 or more years of work experience in a manufacturing environment involving welding fabrication and machining. Candidates with more experience can be considered for a higher level or vice-versa.
  • Exposure to lean concepts, MRP systems, quality control systems and maintenance predictive systems.
  • Experience working in a multi-disciplinary team environment.
  • Demonstrate leadership skills in a team environment through assertiveness, dialogue and coordinating timely actions within the department and by outside supporters.
  • Proven understanding of PC applications, CAD software, PLC.

  • Preferred candidate will EHS knowledge, experience with lock out/tag out, knowledge of equipment safety procedures and had done routine maintenance in equipment/solving before.

Our Gas Services division offers Low-emission power generation through service and decarbonization. Zero or low emission power generation and all gas turbines under one roof, steam turbines and generators. Decarbonization opportunities through service offerings, modernization, and digitalization of the fleet.
