This position is for an experienced Procurement Management professional. The Procurement Manager will lead and develop a team of purchasing professionals. Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to ensuring material is available for operations to launch 100% on-time job starts, parts are placed on time to support delivery to our customers, drive and support cost savings initiatives, participate in sourcing activities, involvement in contract negotiations and development and coaching of direct reports. The position is a leadership roles, which will interact with all levels of the organizations, and will lead highly visible actions and plans. The individual selected for this role will need to act with a sense of urgency when issues arise which impact our customers or the business. This position is responsible for collaborating with internal clients and stakeholders to identify opportunities for improvements to drive 100% on time materials and quality, development of supply chain strategies, and support other initiatives as required.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Drive 100% on-time materials availability to ensure internal and external customer demands are met and supportive of 100% on time delivery to customers.
  • Support development of supplier and selection of vendors based on capability, quality, reliability, and price competitiveness.
  • Negotiate and execute supply chain contracts, while insuring synergies with customer contractual obligations.
  • Partner with internal clients and stakeholders to identify sourcing needs and improve sourcing strategy.
  • Analyze suppliers operations to determine factors that affect prices and lowest cost consistent with quality, reliability, and ability to meet required schedules.
  • Support strategic plans being worked by commodity management and / or supplier performance and quality.
  • Engage with central commodity management to support development, execution and alignment of enterprise initiatives while insuring SBU needs and requirements are addressed.
  • Responsible for overall relationship with assigned suppliers.
  • Develop and execute actions plans to address problems, issues or opportunities.
  • Ensure suppliers are performing to the designed requirements from delivery, quality and cost perspective.
  • Support onsite assessments to drive supplier improvements.
  • Collaborate with suppliers and internal clients to identify and remove barriers and implement improvement plans to drive sustainable on-time delivery, cost improvements and total quality.
  • Develop and coach direct reports.
  • Lead or support other projects as assigned.


Basic Qualifications:
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
  • Bachelors degree and 8 years of prior relevant experience OR Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years experience OR In absence of a degree, 12 years of relevant experience is required


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Supply Chain systems experience with SAP and analytical experience is highly preferred
  • This role is data intensive. Proficiency with MS Excel, PowerPoint and databases is highly preferred
  • Experience working in a highly matrixed organization
  • Excellent analytical and problems resolution skills
  • Project management experience
  • Knowledge and experience with Electronic Components, Circuit Card Assemblies, Electro-Mechanical Commodities
  • Ability to work and develop a team of transactional buyers
  • Practical knowledge of one or more operation controls principles (supply chain management, project scheduling, job cost control, change management, risk management and earned value).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with internal stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Detail oriented with ability to work in a fast paced environment.
  • Ability to define problems, to collect data, to establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
