We are looking for a buyer for our commodities/parts for our customers. The position is supplier facing and will be negotiating pricing on parts, sourcing for parts, building relationships with a high volume of suppliers as well as with internal functions such as Ops, Sales who is customer facing, Finance, etc. They also would know Excel when it comes to Vlook Ups & Pivot Tables. The position is hybrid (Tues, Wed, Thurs) at the Miami, FL site. The Aerospace procurement buyer will Source and purchase aerospace fasteners and parts; compiles and analyzes data to determine feasibility of buying products and to establish price objectives; Compiles information to keep informed on price trends and manufacturing processes; confers with suppliers and analyzes suppliers' operations to determine factors that affect prices and determines lowest cost consistent with quality, reliability, and ability to meet required schedules. Reviews proposals, negotiates prices, selects or recommends suppliers, analyzes trends, follows up orders placed, verifies delivery, approves payment, and maintains necessary records. May prepare bid packages.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

* Deliver on savings and inventory requirements as per the commodity and business strategies.

* Conduct Analysis to determine if orders need to be placed to meet global procurement requirements.

* Select suppliers, negotiate pricing, issue purchase orders, re-align deliveries, follow up, and expedite as necessary. Responsible for analyzing assigned part numbers and queue management

* Work closely with Sales department on customer requests and requirements to determine investment strategy.

* Collaborate with Quality department on defective or unacceptable goods, and determine appropriate course of action. Complete actions as necessary to resolve issue.

* Confirm Purchase Order acknowledgments and verify accuracy of PO details; Work cross-functionally and with suppliers on payment issue resolution.

* Maintain awareness and understanding of department key deliverables and how buying decisions impact those deliverables. Utilize reports to achieve

Required Skills & Experience

* 2-4 years of related work experience as a buyer in a supplier facing role

* Experience selecting suppliers, sourcing aerospace parts, negotiating pricing, verifying / issuing POs, and conducting analysis to establish price objectives.

* Strong negotiation skills -- experience negotiating pricing on parts, sourcing for parts

* Ability to build relationships with suppliers and internal functions (ops, sales, finance)

* Strong excel experience -- VlookUps, Pivot Tables

* Aerospace industry experience with general knowledge of Aerospace compliance / regulations (or related industry)

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

* CPIM (Certified Production Inventory Management) / CPSM (Certified Professional Supply Management)
