  • This is an independent, collaborative position involving the purchasing of supplies, services and equipment for the members of MaineHealth. The Procurement Specialist collaborates with and assists customers in determining their purchasing needs and requirements, places and expedites orders, and resolves purchasing, receiving & invoicing issues.
• Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
  
  • Education: Knowledge of contemporary business practices acquired through graduation from a four-year college/university or equivalent relevant business experience.
  • License/Certifications: Professional Certification desirable (CMRP, CPM), knowledge of Lawson preferred. Knowledge of contract law and governing regulations.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3+ years of purchasing and/or related healthcare experience preferred.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong working relationships with customers, vendors and co-workers.
  • Ability to independently identify problems, drive solutions, make decisions & recommendations.
