We are looking for a Mechanical Drafting Intern to support theElectricPower Systems (EPS)businesswho is a team player with a high level of initiative and the ability to work in an environment of rapidly changing priorities. The individual in the this position will interface on a daily basis with designers and detailers on the PDD team to complete detailed drawings for our EPS products using our NX design and modeling tool suite. When additional design details are required, they will work directly with design engineers to obtain and implement the required drawing details. The successful candidate will demonstrate an affinity and aptitude for drafting and design. Knowledge of industry drafting standards and techniques, in combination with a foundational understanding of mechanical drafting, is required. Experience with the specific NX design tool is preferred.

Mechanical Drafting Intern tasks may include, but are not limited to the following:
Create dimensioned detail drawings compliant with industry, Collins and manufacturing standards.

• Dimension detail drawings ensuring they are accurate, complete and dimensioned to support program requirements and tolerance build up analysis.
• Update detail drawings throughout the various review cycles per engineering input.
• Implement drawing updates as per engineering change requests
• Execute Collins Standard Work using Design Standard Features and Design Guide Book as appropriate to complete the task.
• Work with Collins product definition and engineering support groups and coordinate assistance as required.
• Use software in recommended methods which promotes consistency for ease of revision and reduction in model/drawing complexity.
• Provide inputs and updates to standard work processes

Basic Qualifications:
Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and student must be pursuing a Bachelor's or advanced degree in an applicable discipline.
Must be a U.S. Person/Permanent Resident Green Card holder
