Product Designer Responsibilities


  • Design digital user interfaces, create graphics, and design new experiences or layouts that evolve and/or define visual systems for web and app-based applications and technologies with a focus on generating new visual language.

  • Take broad, conceptual ideas and create design flows and experiences that are incredibly simple and elegant for supported platforms.

  • Drive partnership with product managers, engineers, UX researchers and content strategists to oversee user experience of a product from conception to launch.

  • Contribute to strategic decisions around the future direction of Meta products.

  • Give and solicit feedback from designers and a broader product team in order to continually raise our bar for quality, while also taking on mentorship.

  • Work on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors.

  • Clearly and succinctly articulate goals and concepts when representing work to broader product team and other leaders.


Minimum Qualifications


  • Requires 60 months of experience in the job offered or in a related occupation. Requires 60 months of experience in the following:

  • 1. Building and shipping applications or software at company-level scale

  • 2. Interaction design, including defining how an experience should behave based on understanding people's needs

  • 3. Prototyping

  • 4. Visual design, including typography, desktop or mobile user interface, color, layout, and iconography

  • 5. Understanding product goals, identifying opportunities, and making decisions based on the impact to internal and external users

  • 6. Creating user flow and mockups to articulate design concepts

  • 7. Defining product specifications and user experiences

  • 8. Understanding and interpreting user research and usability testing

  • 9. Leading end to end design process across multiple projects including interaction and visual design artifacts, multiple iterations, and high-fidelity prototypes

  • 10. Developing product goals, identifying opportunities in a global market, and making strategic design decisions based on impact to the company

  • 11. Partnering with cross-functional partners to drive product strategy with a user-centric approach leveraging design thinking methodologies and best practices.
