Job Description:

Project Overview:
Work with client paint and styling teams to address current product and new design issues and coordinate with internal design and drafting resources to update 2D and 3D engineering drawings and models in a Teamcenter and NX 1953 environment.
1. PLM Enterprise Part creation & updates
2. CAD model review and verification
3. Design analysis for compliance and quantification
4. Drawing review and peer check
5. Create Service and Release documentation
6. Product Life Cycle Management
7. Service Requirements

Job Responsibilities:
1. Interpret customer engineering order specification.
2. Constant contact with project manager, systems engineer to gather all requisite information for paint & styling, decals & nameplates.
3. Work with paint vendors to develop new colors per customer requirements and associated TDS & SDS sheets.
4. Calculate paint volume per paint & styling drawing.
5. Work with nameplate vendors to develop stencils.
6. Draft DWO to create paint & styling, Decal, Nameplate & Number board.
7. ID tape identifier for piping in the Locomotive.
8. Develop requirements for Reflective tape on the drawings.
9. Work with Unigraphics and Teamcenter
10. Develop general notes section on paint & styling drawing.
11. Develop preliminary BOM for each drawing.
12. Conduct Design reviews at each stage.
13. Work with drafting designer on day-to-day basis and check the drawings / approve for release.
