Your role and responsibilities
As an intern, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience through various projects. Each day, you will acquire knowledge by performing tasks as directed. You will also showcase your expertise by supporting ABB's operations and enhancing personal education/employment opportunities. The work model for the role is onsite in Richmond, Virginia. Please note that no relocation assistance or stipend will be offered for this position. Candidates must reside within a 50-mile radius of the office location. Candidates are expected to manage their own commuting arrangements. You will be mainly accountable for: • Developing and managing engineering changes in active products • Monitoring product/assembly cost and developing projects for cost savings • Managing technical documents for production (3D, Schematics, BOM, Assembly Procedure) • Establishing project specification for production • Converting R&D developments into products for market and readying these for mass production • Supporting for production lines. Involving problem solving analysis and investigating together with Quality/Process teams • Maintaining assembly and packaging instructions

Qualifications for the role
- Currently enrolled in a bachelor's degree program in electrical engineering, within the United States.
- Intern must have reliable transportation to and from the worksite.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now and in the future.
- Utilize critical thinking skills to analyze complex situations and develop strategic solutions
- Effectively organize and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines
- Demonstrate the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously without compromising quality
- Collaborate with team members to convey ideas, share information, and provide updates on project progress
