IN THIS ROLE, YOU CAN EXPECT TO HAVE THESE RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Build the strategic product plan for the portfolio including developing and updating product roadmaps through voice of the customer analysis, competitive overview, portfolio analysis and strategy development (products include steel containers, hoists, container handlers...)
  • Identify cost reduction/value/operational improvement opportunities
  • Lead the cross functional team through the Stage Gate process by facilitating meetings with representation from engineering, sourcing, manufacturing, quality, legal, finance and marketing
  • Actively communicate status of projects to all project stakeholders, which includes the cross functional team and senior management
  • Prepare financial analysis for portfolio evaluation and strategic decision-making
  • Conduct pricing analysis to determine product positioning in the marketplace and recommend/execute appropriate actions as needed
  • Create and maintain a competitive market analysis along with communicating it to all levels of organization
  • Collaborate on all sales enablement including customer presentations and marketing collateral as part of product launch process
  • Demonstrate a strong track record of developing and executing successful product plans that are on time and at cost
  • Routinely take a holistic view of the assigned lines and assess industry and markets, translating findings into product line activities
  • Work onsite in Charlotte, North Carolina with up to 25% travel

NOW THAT YOU KNOW WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING, HERE'S WHAT YOU NEED TO DO IT:
  • Minimum of a B.A., in engineering, marketing, business or related field; MBA preferred
  • 10+ years of sales/marketing experience; product marketing experience preferred
  • Process-focused with the ability to clearly present project objectives, work plans, and timelines and hold the team accountable for their responsibilities
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated knowledge of key financial metrics including financial/budget management skills
  • Ability to communicate to all levels of organization and customer base
  • Ability to multitask and be able to lead and build relationships with cross functional team
  • Strong written, verbal and presentation skills, strong project management skills, solid analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI and Microsoft Project
  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 25% for business including work on residential and commercial job sites, customer meetings, and manufacturing facilities

  • Salary range $80,000 - $100,000/yr
