We are looking for a Product Manager to join the team behind Symphony, TikTok's suite of AI-powered creative tools. In this role, you will be responsible for researching new generative AI technologies and strategizing how to apply them to our products to improve the efficiency of creative assets for our advertisers.

This team defines the vision, roadmap, and builds the products that revolutionize the creative process on TikTok. A key product within Symphony is Creative Studio, a video generation tool that enables advertisers and content creators to produce high-quality TikTok videos in minutes with minimal input. As part of our commitment to innovation, the team will continue to expand Symphony with new AI-driven products and features that transform the way creators and brands ideate and develop content on the platform.

We are dedicated to user-centric design and technical excellence, striving to lead the technological renovation in the ad tech and creative industry. The advent of AI-generated content (AIGC) is driving an industry revolution by enhancing content richness, improving production efficiency, and reducing costs, thereby increasing the marketing effectiveness for advertisers. Recognizing the significant potential in this area, we are focused on further investing in AIGC to maintain TikTok's leadership in the creative industry.

Responsibilities:
- Lead the research and exploration of emerging generative AI technologies, focusing on how these innovations can be integrated into our products to enhance creative efficiency and effectiveness for advertisers.
- Apply the latest advancements in AIGC technologies to develop new features and capabilities within our 1P Gen AI products, particularly in image and video solutions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, design, and marketing, to define and prioritize product requirements based on your research and insights.
- Inspire and educate the team on the potential of new technologies, driving a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within the product management group.
- Stay informed about industry trends and the evolving landscape of generative AI, using this knowledge to guide product development and keep TikTok's creative tools at the forefront of the industry.
- Support the product vision and strategy for Symphony Creative Studio, contributing to the overall goal of making TikTok the premier platform for creative expression.
- Engage with design and engineering teams to ensure that new technologies are seamlessly integrated into products that are user-friendly and meet high standards of quality.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:
- 1-2+ years of product management experience building generative AI tools.
- Fluency or proficiency in Mandarin, for product launches and communication with external stakeholders.
- Strong interest and experience in researching and applying new technologies, particularly in the field of generative AI.
- Strong collaboration skills, with a proven ability to work effectively with diverse teams.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to inspire and educate team members on new technological advancements.
- Analytical skills to support data-informed product decisions.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related area.
- Understanding of AI-generated content (AIGC) and the demands of creators and creative agencies, with a focus on what makes a good creative.
- Experience in a generative AI startup or large technology company.
