The Planning Ops Integration (OI) team within the Amazon Grocery Logistics (AGL) org owns labor planning, intraday planning, under-the-roof labor flow management, online window availability, and the online ordering experience for grocery fulfillment from warehouses and stores. The team is looking for an experienced Product Manager with a strong record of delivery and proven success to own and execute strategic operations and technology projects that create the next generation of labor planning tools, processes, and strategies for Amazon Fresh operators and associates, ultimately resulting in a better experience for Amazon Fresh customers. Our associates are the core of what makes Fresh successful and having them in the right place at the right time ensures that high quality food reaches customers and that customers love Fresh.

A highly analytical candidate with program/project management experience is an ideal fit, as this role will require cross-functional partnership with multiple teams (Tech, Operations, Analytics, Finance, Workforce Planning, Delivery, and other teams) to lead, influence, and support business critical projects and initiatives. Robust understanding of fulfillment operations including order fulfillment, inventory flows, constrained warehouse assets (capacity and labor), quality, and long term roadmaps are expected to help develop new innovations within complex ultra-fast operations.

You will be expected to interact with senior-level audiences to make strategic recommendations and drive consensus on decisions that achieve the long-term vision for optimal balance between business need and operator experience. Documentation of requirements, project management, and cross-team coordination skills are essential.

Key job responsibilities

- Designing and modeling new labor planning processes for developing business needs to improve timeliness, quality, cost, and scalability.

- Leading project teams to plan, organize, and execute complex projects across multiple organizations and stakeholders to enable the launch of new projects and processes.

- Innovating to improve customer experience and continuously remove cost from our fulfillment network.

- Building strong partnership with operations field leaders to understand improvement opportunities.

- Analyzing and solving operational barriers with a focus on understanding root causes and driving forward solves.

- Gathering and analyzing data across order fulfillment functions to establish global standards for operations in partnership with cross functional teams.

- Designing new metrics and enhancing existing metrics to support the future state of the business.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 3+ years of product management experience

- Experience managing technical products or online services

- Experience in product, program, or project management in leading cross-functional teams in delivery of major new products or services

- Knowledge of SQL and VBA at an advanced level

- Knowledge of Microsoft Excel (macros, pivots, lookups) at an advanced level

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience building and analyzing cost/benefit scenarios and business cases and communicating results throughout the organization

- Experience as a program or product manager in a grocery, fulfillment, or labor planning role.

- Experience in requirement gathering and ability to write clear and detailed requirement documents.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $104,700/year in our lowest geographic market up to $179,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
