A higher education client is looking for a Product Manager to join the Design Experience team for a 1 year contract (with possible extensions). This team consists of 2 UX Researches, 3 UX Designers and a Product Owner. This person will be the Product Manager over a few critical web products used by the University. These products include their website platform WordPress, the campus map platform, public events platform and their web search engine. In this Product Manager role you will be responsible for creating tickets in Jira, prioritizing the backlog, creating roadmaps and vendor management. You will work with and manage the relationship of the third party vendors of the University's main web products outlined earlier. You will also work with designers for any changes in themes, upgrades of products etc. As the sole Product Manager, we are looking for someone who is self-sufficient, self-motived and who has previous experience working directly with vendors.

Required Skills & Experience

4+ years of experience as a Product Manager

Experience working directly with and/or managing relationship with third party vendors

Experience as a Product Manager working with WordPress or something similar

Experience overseeing and managing web products such as Concept 3D, Localist and Funnelback

Experience with tools such as Jira, Google Docs etc

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Knowledge of Accessibility Standards such as WCAG standards, ADA, Section 508 & EN 301549

Experience working within the higher education industry
