JOB SUMMARY
This role is responsible for the product management of select Company Performance Tools, including leading the cross-functional product team and supervision of developers, product designers, and business analysts. The Product Manager is responsible for the definition of the "whole product" including service delivery operational and support processes. This is role acts as the primary interface with internal and external stakeholders, as well as the market to generate product requirements and identify commercial product offerings; in support of this, the Product Manager will conduct market research, competitive analysis and maintain the product roadmap.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Develop and maintain the Product RoadMap as the core of the product management process.
  • Actively support business development efforts through technical sales support and providing expert-level product knowledge in customer interactions.
  • Responsible for new product introduction planning and product launch execution, including leading key sales calls and customer interactions.
  • Possess strong market knowledge and keeps abreast of market changes in the space of drilling data analytics and decision/planning support tools for wellbore construction.
  • Identify competitive and alternative offerings in the market to assess their strengths and weaknesses and develop a strategy for winning against the competition.
  • Keep up with emerging trends in information design and data visualization with a focus on drilling activity while bringing insight from other industries.
  • Derive commercial analytics offerings by supporting the development of analysis and reporting tools.
  • Develop effective business plans and product requirements documents in support of product strategy discussions with Leadership.
  • Participate in the development of marketing communication materials.
  • In collaboration with Training, define curriculum for development of product training which is specifically suited to the end-user and monitor the ongoing effectiveness of training initiatives.
  • In collaboration with Field Service Operations, define curriculum for the development of training courses for support technicians based on specific product requirements and competencies and monitor the ongoing effectiveness of training programs.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, business management or related discipline.
  • Clear and practical understanding of the drilling process and operations across operators, contractors, and service providers.
  • Strong analytical skills; Demonstrated ability to develop and lead the development of data analysis, visualization and reporting tools.
  • 2+ years of experience in project or product management and process improvement.
  • Effective verbal and written communicator.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • MBA or Master's degree in discipline related to analytics software.
  • 3+ years of product management experience in data management and analytics software in the oil and gas industry.
  • Previous experience in the coordination and/or management of drilling operations and/or services
  • Previous experience in client facing roles

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS / WORKING CONDITIONS
  • Occasional travel might be required (less than 25% of time).
  • Thrives in a team environment and demonstrates strong interpersonal skills
