We are seeking a talented Product Manager to join our Storage team. This group defines the storage technologies and platforms that are used across all of Two Sigma. Our engineering and research teams have unique and very challenging demands on storage. You will partner to define and deliver storage technologies that need to be scalable, reliable, performant and span both on premise and cloud. Two Sigma's current storage platform includes custom storage solutions as well as open-source and cloud solutions which are used by groups ranging from large scale research simulations to mission-critical live trading systems.

You will take on the following responsibilities:

  • Define the "What and the Why" for the Storage Platform - Vision, Design, Architecture, Key Goals, Partners, and Milestones - in close collaboration with the Storage Engineering team.
  • Develop a strategic product view of external and internal developments in the Software Engineering, Research and Operations spaces.
  • Work closely with internal engineering partners to determine current and future requirements that will help drive the right design and tradeoffs for storage.
  • Use metrics and quantitative analysis to measure product benefits, gain insights, find opportunities, and build consensus on product direction and roadmap.
  • Evangelize and drive adoption of Storage Products and Storage Usage best practices across Two Sigma.


You should possess the following qualifications:

  • Minimum 1 year of experience required; 1-10 years of experience preferred in Product Management
  • BS or equivalent work experience in Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (MS is a plus).
  • Real passion for designing simple solutions to complex problems
  • Clear bias for action, with a collaborative, no-ego approach
  • Ability to communicate with simplicity, precision, and empathy
  • While we build products in the financial space, financial experience is not a requirement

The base pay for this role will be between $165,000 and $325,000. This role may also be eligible for other forms of compensation and benefits, such as a discretionary bonus, health, dental and other wellness plans and 401(k) contributions. Discretionary bonus can be a significant portion of total compensation. Actual compensation for successful candidates will be carefully determined based on a number of factors, including their skills, qualifications and experience.
