The Developer Experience team is building new APIs, tools, and go-to-market machinery to drive a privacy positive transformation across both the web and app ecosystems without disrupting the experiences that users of Android and Chrome rely upon.

The Privacy Sandbox team has a unique charter spanning the breadth of Android and Chrome in service of facilitating a transformation of these platforms towards a privacy-positive future.

As a Product Manager for Developer Experiences Web API, you will influence how the Web operates at a foundational level impacting users worldwide in their daily browsing.

The Privacy Sandbox initiative aims to create technologies that both protect people's privacy online and give companies and developers tools to build thriving digital businesses. Our team is dedicated to strengthening the Web and Android platform against tracking and fingerprinting, while also developing new privacy-preserving APIs to support personalization and measurement on the web. We are committed to collaborating with stakeholders in the industry to develop and implement viable, alternative solutions in a way that protects the privacy of users while also ensuring the continued vitality of the web.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $142,000-$211,000 bonus equity benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Partner closely with Engineering to ensure successful adoption of Privacy Sandbox non-Ads APIs.
  • Own product strategy for Web APIs that serve as replacements for third-party cookies.
  • Create a go-to-market strategy for driving adoption of Web APIs across key areas (e.g., Payments, Sign In, etc.).
  • Identify where to lean into creating new web standards and where to build unique solutions for Chrome.
  • Work closely with User Experience Researcher (UXR) to kick off a new work stream in Developer Experience research for the Privacy Sandbox team.
