Tesla is seeking a Hardware Product Manager focused on Vehicle Accessories to join our Global Vehicle Accessories and Merchandise team. This team is responsible for the overall Tesla Shop business with the Product Managers focused on the development, improvement and launch of aftermarket vehicle accessories for current and future vehicle programs. As a member of the Vehicle Accessories team, you will wear many hats and work in a fast-paced environment. This is a multi-faceted role where broad knowledge of product engineering, product development, supply chain, e-commerce management and material planning/distribution is critical. Successful candidates will demonstrate a strong ability to collaborate with a large number of internal stakeholders globally, ensuring best-in-class products are developed and launched according to our global product roadmap. Responsibilities
  • Own and maintain a product roadmap for multiple hardware products across multiple vehicle models
  • Lead market research, customer feedback and competitive diligence and analysis to build market and product requirements, documentation and inform engineering efforts
  • Collaborate with Engineering teams to define, implement and track product development activities such as prototyping, design release, validation, tooling kickoff and production ramp
  • Work with teams including Design, Engineering, Digital, Legal, Finance, Supply Chain, Service and Operations to deliver a seamless product experience
  • Collaborate with Supply Chain teams to prospect, select and configure product and sub-product manufacturers which meet product intent, capacity, quality and compliance requirements
  • Execute all release and administrative workstreams related to launching and maintaining engineered products on the Tesla Shop
  • Define a set of metrics to measure customer satisfaction and product performance, and use these to analyze and make future decisions around the lifecycle of product portfolio
  • Create and drive continuous architectural improvements on the business' platforms, workstreams and processes to maintain operational excellence


Requirements
  • Degree in Engineering or equivalent product-related/business degree or equivalent experience
  • 2+ years of experience in product management, product development and shipping quality products with evidence of customer impact and exceptional ability
  • Demonstrated ability to execute many projects and tasks in parallel, across teams, in a short timeframe with the ability to pivot rapidly
  • Passionate about working with other businesses and partners to solve their specific challenges while putting customer trust and experience first
  • Proven history of converting learnings from customer insights into tangible product features that customers love
  • Entrepreneurial instincts with clear bias for informed action and track record of leading new initiatives with limited resources and support
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills with ability to use data and metrics for making assumptions and decisions
  • Excellent written and verbal communications across technical and non-technical stakeholders

      $76,000 - $188,100/annual salary, depending on level + cash and stock awards + benefits

      Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
