We are seeking a Senior Product Manager to join our client's team. This position can be remote, but the candidate may need to attend quarterly meetings in Phoenix, AZ. The ideal candidate will be located in the Phoenix area, but we will consider candidates from other locations. This is a 12-month contract role.
Job Details
The Product Manager will help execute the technical and business strategy and oversee the development and grooming of the associated user story/requirement backlog. The candidate will serve as the product owner for one or more scrum teams and will be responsible for the oversight and/or implementation of new and/or existing project activities, which may be enterprise-specific or cross-enterprise. The role requires strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively communicate with and to management. The candidate must demonstrate exceptional leadership skills and have solid experience and understanding of Agile Scrum in the oversight of work prioritization, the development of epics, and user stories for business and technical requirements.
Mandatory Skills
- 6-10+ years of overall experience
- Strong knowledge of Jira, Excel, MS Word, and PowerPoint
- General familiarity with Outlook and other MS Office applications
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated experience as a Product Manager with exceptional leadership skills
- Solid experience and understanding of Agile Scrum in the oversight of work prioritization
- Strong interpersonal, analytical, problem-solving, influencing, prioritization, decision-making, and conflict resolution skills
Desired Skills
- Experience managing multiple large, complex, and cross-functional projects, with an emphasis on systems, technologies, business process redesign, and knowledge of technical environments
- Background in the financial services industry
- BA/BS degree
- CSPO and/or CSM certification is a plus
