Want to join a team leading growth of a multi-billion dollar business at the convergence of e-commerce, web marketing and payments? The Gift Card team is seeking a customer focused, analytical, and innovative Marketing Manager to drive and execute discoverability and experimentation strategies.

The Marketing Manager will own strategies to drive discovery of Gift Cards through onboarding of new channels & content across Amazon. Their strategies will include segmentation initiatives to surface relevant and engaging content to customers continually raising the bar for best-in-class content and discoverability.

The ideal candidate will be able to work at a strategic level (leveraging data insights for ideas for growth, managing relationships with central teams to surface Gift Cards across Amazon and other discovery points) and at a tactical level (creating acquisition and retention driving campaigns). They must be able to build and execute well-structured experiments that deliver meaningful results, scale successful experiments, and optimize. They are comfortable managing multiple priorities at once and have a strong track record of independently managing complex projects and collaborating with cross functional partners.

The successful candidate will be a self-starter who takes pride in delighting customers through best in class CX and is able to communicate and build relationships across teams, levels and geographies. Flexibility and the ability to quickly learn new tools and prioritize in a changing business environment is important.

Key job responsibilities

- Identify Gift Card customer acquisition opportunities and drive strategies to close those gaps

- Manage marketing calendar, content and message for Gift Card campaigns

- Turn quantitative / quantitative analysis experimentation results into actionable marketing strategies at scale

- Communicate campaign level performance by identifying main drivers of KPIs and action areas of optimization during business reviews

- Collaborates with product and business teams for short-term experiments

- Engages with Business Intelligence team on marketing experiments to drive efficiencies with segmentation and propensity model targeting

- Works with Gift Card Business owners and supply chain to ensure selection and breadth of Gift Cards are surfaced appropriately

About the team

The Gift Cards team mission is to create delightful gifts that are thoughtful for the recipient and convenient for the giver. We are responsible for creating, enhancing, merchandising and marketing multiple products sold globally through the Amazon website. Our product line includes electronic gift cards, physical gift cards, branded gift cards (e.g. Starbucks and Whole Foods) and Stored Value products which help customers manage and add funds to their existing Amazon Gift Card balance.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 4+ years of professional non-internship marketing experience

- Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements

- Experience with Excel or Tableau (data manipulation, macros, charts and pivot tables)

- Experience building, executing and scaling cross-functional programs or marketing campaigns from concept to completion

- Experience managing and measuring marketing performance in various channels

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience managing external partners to develop marketing programs

- Experience presenting ideas to various levels of an organization to gain support for initiatives

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $87,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $179,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
