The main function of marketing manager is to run marketing activities by researching and developing marketing opportunities and plans.

The Product Marketing Manager's Job Responsibilities:
  • Achieves marketing operational objectives by contributing marketing information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews; preparing and completing action plans; implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolving problems; completing audits; identifying trends; determining system improvements; implementing change.
  • Meets marketing financial objectives by forecasting requirements; preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analysing variances; initiating corrective actions.
  • Identifies marketing opportunities by identifying consumer requirements; defining market, competitor's share, and competitor's strengths and weaknesses; executing on event and GTM strategy.
  • Improves product marketability and adoption by researching, identifying, and capitalising on market opportunities; improving product positioning; coordinating new product development.
  • Provides information by collecting, analysing, and summarising data and trends.
  • Accomplishes marketing and organisation mission by completing related results as needed.

The Product Marketing Manager's Skills:
  • Verbal and written communication skills, multi-tasking, customer service skills and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage one's time.
  • Ability to keep information organised and confidential.
  • Previous experience with computer applications, such as Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

The Product Marketing Manager's Education/Experience:
  • Bachelor's Degree in marketing, communications, or journalism.

The target hiring compensation range for this role is $75/hr - $81/hr. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
