Job Description

This is a unique opportunity to work closely with global development teams and regional experts to introduce new, cutting-edge cloud services and building automation to the North American region. The Product Owner represents regional stakeholder interests and leads the tactical implementation and analysis of global product development initiatives within North America. You will work with key business stakeholders to define overall product requirements and vision, as well as provide direction to the region on the implementation of these technologies.

Qualifications:

  • 2-year technical degree, or relevant Computer Science, Engineering, IoT/Software Development related certifications and/or experience.
  • 3 years of related experience in software development, BA, or data management/analysis as part of an Agile development team.
  • Experience working with an Agile product development team in a Product Owner type role.

Preferred Requirements
  • Technical, Computer Science or Engineering Bachelor’s degree.
  • 5 years of experience in IoT services, HVAC systems, building automation, energy management, analytics, FDD and/or data management.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Specific and Detailed Duties
  • Work closely with business stakeholders and global development teams to define and prioritize regional product backlogs for global development themes.
  • Actively manage stakeholders’ requirements and expectations throughout each project.
  • Provide the team with clear information regarding who the end user is and: how, when, and why they use the product or service. Hold team accountable to commitments and accept or reject all submitted work.
  • Collaborate closely with developers during regional field trials. Clarify requirements and make timely decisions on execution details. Provide input for regional commercialization activities.
  • Establish success criteria for key technologies and product features using meaningful metrics.
  • Regularly re-prioritize backlogs based on stakeholder feedback, market changes, regional business priorities
  • Communicate clearly with multiple teams, collaborate with the design/development teams, and train internal stakeholders on new features.
  • Attend all meetings including sprint planning, backlog grooming, sprint review.
  • Be a process evangelist within the group by ensuring adherence to (and implementing where necessary) Agile best practices.
