Position Description:
The Position The Backlog Management Analyst will support the Program Manager, Project Synergy, in collaboration with our Industrial System IT colleagues to organize, support, monitor, & report on wide variety of backlog activities. Responsibilities include: • Collaborate with stakeholders, business & IT, and define Epic, Sub-Epic, & Features • Collaborate with stakeholders to define specific measurable value for identified Epics & Sub-Epics • Define milestones that are tracked in backlog management tools (Ex: Rally, Jira etc.) • Deliver program-level reporting by merging multiple backlogs/tools • Develop dashboards, reports, and customized workflows as appropriate • Define a framework, integration forum, to collaborate with PDO teams to track and report on committed deliverables • Conduct PI Planning every quarter driving specificity on the value delivery commitments, along with milestones • Support backlog management operations to various PDO teams as appropriate • Support stakeholders as needed to develop monthly updates and metrics, and consolidate into the required monthly report out artifacts per corporate standards • Assist Industrial System IT leadership to ensure we are monitoring the big picture of activities and deliverables with the team focused on the right activities at the right time • Participate in planning quarterly leadership offsites
Skills Required:
The Person The successful candidate will have the following experiences and skills:
• Expert knowledge and experience in backlog management, defining Epics, Sub-Epics, and Features
• Expert knowledge in backlog management tools (such as Rally, Jira etc.)
• Experience in Agile software delivery, Scrum, and PI Planning methodologies
• Demonstrated ability in creating dashboards, reports, customized workflow's
• Demonstrated ability in good communication skills and stakeholder management
• Experience in coordinating, organizing, and hosting meetings/events with various IT teams
• Detail-oriented, with excellent decision-making, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
• Inclusive style with the ability to collaborate and build meaningful relationships at all levels and functions of the organization
• Be able to work cross-functionally, in a matrixed environment and have experience in a large multi-national company
• Be able to work independently and develop a point of view and recommend to Program Manager
• Most importantly, the successful candidate will exhibit the Ford+ behaviors and work diligently and ethically each day to help achieve success of the Ford+ plan
Experience Required:
10+ years of experience
Education Required:
Associate degree or equivalent education
