The Role

Our Retail and Consumer Good Practice group is looking for a Product Owner to join our journey. We're looking for someone who has experience in Loyalty and Airline Industry.

In this role, Product Owner is expected to have exceptional written and verbal skills, high coordination/organization/project management skills and soft skills (negotiation, persuasion, teamwork) with high Personal ownership.

We're looking for Senior Consultant who can deliver within Cognizant's Five Pillars of Consulting Excellence: 1) Project Execution, 2) Expertise, 3) Business Development, 4) Practice Development, & 5) People Development. As a Senior Consultant, this means partnering with clients and project stakeholders, colleagues to clarify requirements and support delivery of effective solutions; applying technical and domain expertise to solve core client business challenges or inefficiencies; developing and strengthening domain knowledge and maintaining an accurate understanding of Cognizant's industry propositions and consulting capabilities; supporting business development activities of senior leaders; contributing to the development of practice initiatives or new service offerings (e.g., Strategic Control Points, development of consulting assets); and being an inspiring colleague, promoting team motivation, partnership, and ownership for projects. Responsibilities
  • Strong Product Owner skills including backlog grooming, refinement, prioritization, feature / user stories creation, sprint planning, lead & contribute agile ceremonies.
  • Contribute to co creation of product vision of strategy tied to portfolio goals.
  • Keep a close track of the sprint deliverables. Work with the team and delivers features as per the milestones, lead sprint demo.
  • Manages technology projects or multiple technical and Line of Business workstreams within the broader project or program. Develops, implements, and monitors deliverables across cross-functional teams. Contributes expertise to major project deliverables, milestones, and required tasks.
  • Provides insight on best practices and common obstacles based on prior experiences.
  • Communicates OKRs, product roadmap, upcoming releases project status and issues regularly to stakeholders, including leaders, team members, and senior managers.
  • Builds and maintains effective relationships. Proactively fosters communication between internal and external project stakeholders to manage product dependencies.
  • Performs continuous product discovery and offers valuable solutions that align to product OKRs. Conduct competitive benchmarking, uses data to define baselines, measure outcomes.
  • Defines and maintains healthy backlog, operating consistently in adopting organizational standards and presents the backlog items to squads and external team members.
  • Have consulting acumen to support business development and practice development initiatives by creating mindshare artifacts in the airlines and travel space.

Qualifications:
  • Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.
  • Minimum of Five years related work experience as a product owner.
  • Undergraduate degree in related field (Computer Science, Engineering,) required.
  • Airline domain knowledge is highly preferred.
  • Prior experience in Loyalty is highly preferred.

Location:

Dallas, TX (Mandatory). Need to work from client office 2-3 days a week.

Salary and Other Compensation:

This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
