Position Summary:

This role is a key position within our manufacturing plants and supports our production team leads as they drive production to the highest safety, quality and efficiency standards. This position is exposed to multiple refrigerated areas within production. This role is responsible for the allocation and continuous supply of inventory of raw product to the production line.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Follow GMP/PPE, Safety guidelines
  • Follow & maintain HACCP & Sanitation guidelines & processes
  • Confirm product coming into room is going to the correct line (accuracy is vital to traceability)
  • Understand yield standards
  • Work safely around moving equipment & conveyors in wet environment
  • Visually check (defect, FO's, size, color, quality)
  • Schedule adherence
  • Ability to be crossed trained & multitask in multiple positions
  • Maintain safe work environment
  • Work in a fast paced environment
  • Runs product from clean kitchen to the line (JAC/IRW only)
  • Comply with SQF Regulatory Programs (USDA)
  • Understand DSI Scanner Functions to allocate inventory to various production work orders for organic and non-organic condiments and Prep. Produce
  • Obtain and verify Prep release dates and times
  • Scans all items set by work order prior to the decanting section for condiments and Prep. Produce
  • Perform daily inventory counts and adjustments
  • Perform work order closing activities on a daily basis
  • Provide feedback to supporting groups when adjustments and/or DOM are needed
  • Participate on yield % losses improvements for the plant
  • Responsible for maintaining components on the assembly belt by facilitating product from the kitchen to the bowl line
  • Report all accidents and safety concerns to Department Leadership immediately
  • Apply work order visual implementation based on accurate conditions.
  • Perform packaging transactions per work order
  • Manage FIFO inventory and process
  • Report nonconformance ingredients to QA and Procurement
  • Keeps up with inventory on the assembly line and restocks when product is low
  • Maintains a clean work area at all times
  • Follow and enforce the 5S Methodology including maintaining tools and equipment as defined by the 5S marking.
  • Perform other duties as needed.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Ability to read, write and speak English preferred
  • Willingness and flexibility to work in a cold, wet, fast-paced, 24 hour plant environment.
  • Comprehension of basic math
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Basic computer skills (Microsoft Excel, JDE/DSI/RPDMS)
  • DSI Scanner
  • Ability to multitask
  • Ability to understand plant KPI's (production, quality & safety)
  • GED/High School Diploma.

Physical Work Environment:

While performing the duties of this job, this position entails use of ladders and catwalks to reach production equipment, regularly works near moving mechanical parts and is regularly exposed to extreme cold for extended periods of time. The associate frequently works in high, precarious places. The associate is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
