Leidos' Security Enterprise Solutions (SES) operation is seeking a Production Control Specialist in Vista, CA to join our team. As a member of the Leidos Security Enterprise Solutions (SES) team, you will be joining a diverse and dedicated group who are excited about producing industry leading screening technology. Our team produces a comprehensive suite of fully automated and integrated products for aviation, shipping ports, border crossings, and critical infrastructure customers. These systems provide threat detection by screening baggage, cargo, and people at checkpoints around the world.

The Production Control Specialist plays a vital role within the manufacturing process and will be responsible for a variety of task. This position will report to the Production Control Manager but work closely with other functional teams to establish priority and ensure the smooth execution of production activities. In conjunction with the different production managers, this role will coordinate and monitor MO status and ensure timely closure upon completion. This role will also assist with investigating aging MO report, monitor bulk material levels, submit request for floor supplies, and communicate production shortages as required. To be successful in this role, this person must have a good understanding of the supply chain and manufacturing process along with being detail oriented, highly organized, and an excellent communicator.

The Production Control Specialist will be responsible for creating, releasing and completing Manufacturing Orders, and supporting the production areas with kits and the placement of material into the designated work cells. Candidate will be responsible with coordinating with planning and procurement to track the status of needed parts. Candidate will also assist in fulfilling kit shortages and coordinating the materials on the production floor as required. On occasion may be asked to assist with the crating of large and of small assemblies. Must have strong data entry skills and a clean driving record and updated forklift license.

Primary Responsibilities :
  • Support the production areas with material and kits
  • Tracking and fulfilling kit shortages
  • Picking and packaging parts
  • Cycle count of WIP material on the floor

Basic Qualifications :
  • HS Diploma or equivalent with 2+ years experience
  • Must have the ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance (US citizenship required).
  • Experience working in a manufacturing or supply chain environment
  • Possess efficient mathematical abilities
  • Knowledge in the use of basic power tools

Preferred Qualifications :
  • Forklift license
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
  • Experience in Crating large assemblies

Pay Range: Pay Range $38,350.00 - $69,325.00
