Production Equipment Maintenance Technician - 2nd Shift

Location: Fort Lauderdale, FL

Salary: $40 per hour (second shift premium; negotiable for exceptional candidates)

Are you a skilled Production Equipment Maintenance Technician with a passion for keeping machinery in top shape? We're seeking an experienced professional to join our team on the 2nd shift at our Fort Lauderdale facility.

About the Role:

As a Production Equipment Maintenance Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our production machinery. You'll troubleshoot and repair various equipment including motors, pumps, conveyors, and more, while maintaining high safety standards. Your work will directly impact our production efficiency and quality.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Troubleshoot, modify, and repair machinery and mechanical equipment.
  • Diagnose and predict equipment failures, and perform necessary repairs.
  • Read and interpret machine schematics, blueprints, and manuals.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and update machine documentation.
  • Ensure a clean and orderly work area.
  • Utilize continuous improvement concepts to meet production standards.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.


Work Schedule:
  • 2nd Shift: 3:00pm - 11:30pm, Monday - Friday
  • Overtime and some Saturdays required


Training:
  • Initial training on 1st Shift, Monday - Friday, for approximately six weeks.


Qualifications:

Basic:
  • 7+ years of experience performing equipment maintenance in a manufacturing environment.
  • 3+ years of experience with machine drive trains, precision spindles, pneumatic, hydraulic, and fluid systems.
  • 3+ years of experience in troubleshooting and analyzing causes of equipment failures.
  • 3+ years of experience in the troubleshooting and repair of production equipment with appropriate controls.
  • 3+ years of experience with safety procedures and working with hand tools.
  • 2+ years of MS Office experience (Outlook, Excel, etc.).
  • High School Diploma or GED.


Preferred:
  • Machine shop and shop floor experience.
  • Experience with PLCs and controls.
  • Experience with lathes, grinders, stamping, milling, brake presses, and other machine shop/production machinery.
  • Plumbing, mechanical, and electrical repair experience.
  • Ability to read schematics.
  • Journeyman machinist level is a plus.
