Leidos Defense Systems Sector, is seeking a talented Production IPT Lead (senior level manufacturing engineer) candidate to join a multidisciplinary team to create unique solutions to complex engineering challenges in our Huntsville, AL location. Primary Responsibilities:

As an essential part of our dynamic team leading the Enduring Shield Production IPT. You will lead, plan and coordinate efforts for the team that consists of but not limited to the product responsible engineers(liaison), manufacturing engineering lead, quality lead, and supply chain lead.

You will primarily be focused on leadership and integration for the Enduring Shield integrated platform production efforts. Developing production plans to support program milestones and enabling the team to accomplish the milestones by working product build, assuring timely closure of MRB/NCR activities with engineering and quality, and that the supply chain pipeline is sufficient to build on time to schedule. The team will be critical to recommending process improvements and design for manufacturing options.

Responsibilities include:

• Establishing and Maintaining the product build plan within the IMS
• Responsible for supporting program level reviews as Production IPT Lead
• Assure manufacturing, engineering, quality, supply chain are coordinated to meet program milestones
• Provide technical support for various design reviews for the Production IPT
• CAM for Production IPT
• Participate in proposal activities as required

Basic Qualifications:

• Candidate must possess a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, or equivalent degree from an ABET-accredited institution
• Experienced reading drawings and developing manufacturing plans
• Candidate must have 10+ years experience building/producing defense department systems
• Candidate must have a background in manufacturing engineering to assure good interfacing with the production floor lead and personnel
• Works closely with multi-disciplinary teams
• Candidate must have demonstrated experience effectively communicating within a team environment
• Candidate must have hands-on manufacturing experience creating work instructions and using Solumina MRP
• Experience with Oracle Agile for EBOMs and Costpoint or Solumina for MBOM generation
• Candidates must be a resident of the North Alabama area or willing to relocate to the Huntsville - North Alabama, AL area

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with EVM (Support CAM with tracking labor/cost, charge code allocation)
• TDP knowledge

Pay Range: Pay Range $108,550.00 - $196,225.00
