PURPOSE STATEMENT

The Production Line Coordinator is responsible for converting raw materials into finished goods in the required quantity and quality, and performs this function in a safe and sanitary manner following HACCP and GMP guideline at a minimum cost. Conduct production activities in accordance with the agreement between the union and the company.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES/OUTCOMES

  • Follows production schedules for the various production lines and batch rooms to ensure that goals are met.
  • Directs the flow of materials and utilization of labor to ensure adequate production of various products of required quality.
  • Responsible for insuring waste of packaging and raw materials are below budgeted targets.
  • Directs work orders for maintenance and repair of production equipment. Recommends improvements in machinery and equipment and in manufacturing methods. Directs requisitions of manufacturing supplies.
  • Provides associate work schedules to insure productivity levels are achieved with minimal staffing and overtime costs.
  • Facilitates the operation of all production areas and coaches Associates in the performance of their duties.
  • Organize crews as needed for product rework. Develops standards for the time necessary to complete rework and ensures these goals are meet.
  • Ensures Company standard practices and procedures are followed and perform periodic procedure audits. Corrects any deficiencies found in these audits and communicates results to the shift leader.
  • Responsible for the motivation and development of production associates to optimize their performance.
  • Maintains and reports production standards for yields, efficiencies, and labor utilization to the Shift Lead. Provides additional information and insight as to the causes and solutions of poor yields, line and mix efficiencies, and labor utilization in the daily operations meeting.
  • Keep abreast of latest manufacturing technologies and systems.
  • Ensure smooth transition of production activities between shifts.
  • Follow up on work, sanitation, and safety work orders with the applicable Associates to ensure expeditious performance of the requested work.
  • Participate in weekly GMP, sanitation and safety inspections throughout the Production departments and have corrected, or issue work orders to correct any identified deficiencies.
  • Performs other duties and handles special projects from time to time as assigned by Shift Leader.
  • Assists other departments in utilization of labor, sharing of information and cross training.
  • Perform all necessary tasks to ensure that all schedule work is completed within established guidelines


KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

  • Associate's degree in Food Science, Technology, or Engineering - preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a professional demeanor.
  • Intermediate knowledge of MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) is expected. Individual must be a fast learner and able to assimilate new software, procedures and techniques as they are constantly introduced into this environment. Experience with SCADA, SAP, and IQS are a plus. Excellent working knowledge of equipment and production standards a must.
  • Must be able to handle multiple assignments concurrently, possess excellent organizational and time management skills, and be able to function in a fast-paced production environment. Individual must possess the maturity to deal with matters of a highly confidential nature.
  • Must possess a high level of interpersonal skills to facilitate constant interaction with a wide variety of personalities and management styles. Also, the ability to maintain focus on assigned tasks in spite of constant interruptions. Will need to be able to work effectively with others and have a high degree of problem solving ability. Should exhibit proven ability to get along with fellow Associates.
  • The ability to work extended hours, weekends, and multiple shifts as needed.

COMPENSATION

In accordance with state law, the rate or range provided is Rich Products Corporation, its subsidiaries and affiliates ("Rich's"), reasonable estimate of the base compensation for this role. The actual amount may be higher or lower, based on non-discriminatory factors such as experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, shift differential, and location.

Annual Range/Hourly Rate

$61,501.56 - $83,207.99
