Nature of Work:

Advance all production aspects of events with local and/or touring personnel to ensure all needs are met. Includes, but is not limited to, scheduling labor, arranging sound, lighting and power requirements, arranging meals for staff and tour personnel, managing allocated funds per event, coordinating parking. Also work directly with the Game Presentation Department for in game Production needs

Essential Functions/Responsibilities -
  • Advises promoters and/or touring personnel regarding economical solutions to help maximize revenue and reduce expenses.
  • Plans and controls the expenses related to events.
  • Submits invoices and reports to the Booking and Accounting Departments for settlement.
  • Works closely with Box Office and Event Managers in advance of events going on sale and on event days to determine appropriate seating configuration, blocking seats for technical needs, Denver Fire Department floor plan approval, and ADA compliance.
  • Attends to requests and needs of promoter / director / performer on event days.
  • Acts as Production Point of Contact for KSE staff, contractors, merchandise, stagehands, audio support, video support, caterers, equipment rental vendors, etc.
  • Inspects the backstage area and rooms for maintenance and repairs to walls, carpet, restrooms, furniture etc. and communicates to KSE Engineering for work orders.
  • Plans and regularly directs the work of KSE employees and contract labor (Rhino Staging, Premier Facility Services, Jay's Valet) in the timely production of events. This direction often takes place while the Production Manager is the sole KSE employee on site with decision making responsibility.
  • Provides for the safety of the employees and vendor partners on site during load-in and load-out and suggests changes in procedures to ensure safe practices.
  • Performs various maintenance functions on Ball Arena Production equipment.
  • Attends weekly operations and event planning meetings and presents information to the groups pertaining to upcoming events.
  • Develop a good working relationship with vendor partners and production equipment providers.
  • Build a working knowledge of all KSE venues, Ball Arena, Paramount Theatre, Dick's Sporting Goods Park, and First Bank Center.
  • Other duties and projects as assigned by Sr Director or Director.

Qualifications:
  • Minimum
    1. High school diploma or GED required
    2. Three to five years' production experience to include lighting, electrical, rigging, video, sound, scheduling, and project management with events of at least 2,000 to 10,000 in attendance
  • Preferred
    1. Related college course work


Competencies/Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
  • General knowledge of accepted theatrical practices and procedures.
  • Functional knowledge of all aspects of event production to include electrical, rigging, audio/visual, coordination of outside vendor functions, event budgeting, etc.
  • Solid project management skills.
  • Functional knowledge of safety standards and equipment.
  • Basic proficiency Microsoft Office programs and applications, preferred.


Compensation-

Based on qualifications and experience.
  • Base Salary Range $55,000-$65,000
  • Eligible for annual discretionary bonus
