The Grid Technologies Products (GT PR) business unit located in Richland, MS. is seeking an experienced, self-driven Production Order Planner. As a member of the Operations Planning team the Production Order Planner will be responsible for aligning the demand, inventory and supply for multiple product groups at the Richland factory. This role is expected to drive strong performance in the following objectives: Material demand/ supply alignment, Kanban system maintenance/ optimization and on time material availability thru prestaging/ picking requests. This position is part of to the Production Scheduling team.
How You'll Make an Impact
  • Planning and scheduling workflow for each department and operation according to established manufacturing sequences and lead times.
  • Coordinating with other departments to ensure that production schedules are met, and that materials and resources are available when needed.
  • Supervising production progress and making schedule adjustments as necessary to meet delivery deadlines.
  • Identifying material and supply needs for production and other operations.
  • Identify material per production are and requested them from logistics.
  • Maintain and optimize Kanban system.
  • Support safety stock management and inventory management.
  • Manage critical forecasted material shortages and adjust planning as required.
  • Support Improvement initiatives related to production and capacity planning.
What You Bring
  • High School diploma required
  • 3+ years of experience in manufacturing required
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office required
  • ERP production planning knowledge required; SAP preferred
  • Experience in manufacturing to order, engineer to order, material forecast, and load/ capacity planning preferred.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
