Production Specialist

Growing chemical manufacturing company South Houston looking for an experienced Production Specialist to support scheduling efforts and onsite Production team.

Duration: Contract to potenital Hire

Objective:
The Production Specialist oversees the administration of OPS, FF, and Repack production lines, ensuring smooth and efficient operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Production and Repack Coordination: Accurately prepare, organize, and finalize production and repack processes.
• Data Management: Perform precise calculations for production and inventory. Conduct detailed analytics, reviews, and maintain clear documentation.
• Repacking Management: Oversee regional repacking, including managing material movements, transfer orders, and system transactions for production warehouses.
• Data Entry: Collect and input production data into relevant reporting systems or programs daily.
• Third-Party Production: Manage third-party production schedules, material transfers, system transactions, and invoicing.
• Compliance and Updates: Ensure production compliance and keep warehouse postings up-to-date.
• Process Improvement: Lead or support efficiency and process improvement initiatives.
• Support Role: Provide backup on critical tasks for the regional team, including inbound and outbound processes.
• Additional Duties: Perform other responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements:

• Education: Bachelor's degree preferred, or 4 years of relevant work experience.
• Skills: Proficiency in Excel, MS Word, and ERP systems (e.g., D365, SAP, Dynamics AX, or similar). Ability to quickly learn new systems as needed.
• Knowledge: Familiarity with SCADA systems.
• Attention to Detail: Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
• Teamwork: Effective team player who consistently produces high-quality work and meets deadlines.
• Initiative: Self-motivated with a strong work ethic, proactive in asking questions, and driven to achieve business results.
• Position sits onsite at the Production facility
• Offering $24-31/hr depending on experience
