Summary:
The Production Supervisor is responsible for planning and scheduling manufacturing activities as well as forecasting material requirements to ensure timely delivery of STC products. The Production Supervisor will coordinate with warehouse operations, including shipping, receiving, and inventory. They will also manage daily work schedules, assign job duties to employees and provide guidance through training and daily support ensuring the highest quality product is built for Safran Test Cells' customers in a safe and effective manner.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Plan, prepare, issue and control production schedule of internal electrical assemblies within Safran Test Cells ensuring on-time delivery.
• Support on-time delivery by actively tracking changing customer needs through monitoring and adjusting raw material requirements using the ERP system.
• Analyze short and long-term industrial capacity to develop a plan that will support current and long-term needs.
• Utilize ERP and other systems to gather, analyze, and interpret data to forecast as well as identify trends in material purchases/usages making recommendations that will establish and maintain appropriate levels of material goods for production.
• Follow-up and partner with other operational areas to ensure parts and materials are available as well as identifying root causes and implementing countermeasures to minimize customer impact on delivery misses.
• Maintains work flow by monitoring steps of the process; setting processing variables; observing control points and equipment; monitoring personnel and resources; implementing cost reductions; developing reporting procedures and fostering a spirit of cooperation within and between departments.
• Coordinate with Supply Chain to develop strong working relationships with suppliers to understand their manufacturing processes ensuring their processes support our needs.
• Maintain system planning parameters per established process, including recommending process improvements to improve efficiencies.
• Lead assembly training and ensure all Electrical Assemblers actively comply with safety policies and practices.
• Provide guidance and support to other assemblers as needed to help resolve production issues.
• Identify and implement the best processes and methods to best meet production and quality goals.
• Lead the group in seeking and acting on continuous improvement activities.
• Troubleshoot electrical and/or system's issues to isolate failures by wiring up products and monitoring test equipment.
• Actively participate in a continuous improvement culture providing recommendations and implementing enhancements to current methods and procedures.
• Other duties as assigned.

Candidate skills & requirements
Education/Experience:
• BS Degree in Operations Management or related degree
• Minimum of 3 years of manufacturing experience required; management experience preferred.

Qualifications:
• Strong presentation and communication skills both verbal and written with a proven ability to be assertive yet approachable delivering a positive customer service experience.
• Strong organizational skills with demonstrated ability to work on multiple activities in various stages of completion.
• Advanced knowledge in Excel and Word, and PowerPoint and a strong ability to learn various software and systems quickly.
• Detail-oriented self-starter with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines while managing multiple priorities.
• Advanced critical thinking skills as well as problem-solving skills.
• Demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness; actively seeks opportunities to improve and promote quality and monitors own work to ensure quality is met.
• Strong interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to develop and maintain positive working relationships with customers, suppliers, and team members.
• Solutions-focused, demonstrating the ability to develop and implement strategy balancing analysis with decisiveness while managing and coordinating production processes
• Able and willing to travel up to 10% of the time both domestically and internationally, as required.
