Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage Production Capacity: Oversee production capacity in alignment with sales forecasts and inventory plans.
  • Forecast Production: Generate and deliver weekly production forecasts for co-manufacturers.
  • Purchase Order Management: Issue and track purchase orders for all finished goods and raw materials.
  • Primary Contact: Serve as the main point of contact for co-manufacturers and direct materials suppliers on a day-to-day basis.
  • KPI Development: Develop and track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and vendor scorecards to measure performance.
  • Cost Analysis: Conduct competitive cost analyses on raw materials supply.
  • Quality Control Monitoring: Monitor and validate product quality control and recall procedures for all finished goods.
  • Quality Audits: Perform regular quality audits on finished goods, report findings, and track corrective actions.
  • Inventory Procedures: Ensure adherence to First In, First Out (FIFO) and First Expired, First Out (FEFO) procedures for all raw materials and finished goods.
  • Warehouse Coordination: Collaborate with third-party warehouse providers to ensure accurate inventory accounting and minimize variances and write-offs.
  • Vendor Invoicing: Confirm accurate vendor invoicing for inbound goods to storage facilities and validate warehouse storage invoices.
  • Inventory Audits: Perform on-site inventory audits at external warehouses at least once annually (travel required).




Qualifications:
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Production Supervisor.
  • Leadership Skills: Strong team-building, decision-making, and people management skills, with the ability to create accountability and lead by example.
  • Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with inventory management and production software.
  • Safety Knowledge: Prior experience with OSHA regulations preferred.
  • Language Skills: Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Project Management: Strong project management skills with a proven record in training employees on safety and production practices.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Strong working knowledge of Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations.
  • Coaching Ability: Ability to coach and motivate employees effectively.
