In this role, you'll work 48 weekends per year with shifts from 3 pm Friday to 7 am Monday, ensuring a consistent schedule. Plus, enjoy a 25% pay differential on top of your base rate for all weekend shifts, making your time even more rewarding. Responsibilities:
  • Foster productive working relationships by demonstrating accountability, enthusiasm, and commitment to colleagues and patients.
  • Promote healthy workplace culture by understanding cultural differences and maintaining a balance between work and personal life.
  • Apply adult learning principles in teaching patients, families, students, and new staff, supporting their development through detailed guidance.
  • Utilize the nursing process and critical thinking to develop holistic, patient-centered care plans, addressing clinical, social, and psychological needs.
  • Communicate effectively with care teams to ensure comprehensive patient documentation and facilitate continuous improvement in care practices.
  • Engage in professional development to enhance patient care and participate in shared governance, supporting change initiatives for quality care improvement.
  • Actively contribute to quality improvement efforts, identifying opportunities for better patient care and satisfaction.
  • Use research and evidence-based practices to influence patient care and advocate for quality improvements within the unit.


Qualifications:

  • Behavioral Health experience preferred
  • Demonstrate strong clinical judgment, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities to manage patient care in a complex environment.
  • Possess mobility, dexterity, and physical stamina for frequent walking, standing, and patient positioning.
  • Licensure: Current RN license or Temporary Practice Permit (TPP);
  • CPR/BLS certification required within 30 days of hire.
