Responsibilities

This position will be responsible for coordinating the administrative and operational activities for substance abuse prevention projects within the Florida Center for Prevention Research.
  • Participate in grant planning with the rest of the project team, subcontractors, and sponsors at state agencies.
  • Attend webinars and other training events to gain expertise in substance abuse-related topics.
  • Coordinate the daily operations of substance abuse projects including tracking project activities.
  • Manage communication with project sponsors, including recording meeting minutes.
    Assist with the collection and management of data for substance abuse-related projects, including transcribing, coding, and tabulating data.
  • Assist the FCPR Principal Investigator in meeting the reporting requirements of substance abuse projects by preparing monthly status reports of completed activities.
  • Assist with the coordination, implementation, and evaluation of other prevention programs and activities as assigned. This may include occasionally travel to project sites around Florida to assist with fidelity monitoring and trainings.

Qualifications

A Bachelor's degree and two years of experience; or a high school diploma or equivalent and six years of experience. (Note: a combination of post high school education and experience equal to six years.)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree.
  • Substance abuse-related evaluation experience.
