Job Summary

The Program Director and Assistant Professor of Criminal Justice holds a dual role within the academic institution: curriculum development, administrative oversight, student advising, criminal justice faculty supervision, and community engagement.

Roane State Community College is a multi-campus comprehensive community college serving an eight-county area in East Tennessee. Qualified applicants, including current employees, must apply for and submit a new application and resume for each position opening. Job Duties

• Provide leadership for and program management of A.A.S. Criminal Justice program.

• Teach Criminal Justice classes.

• Advise Criminal Justice students.

• Serve as liaison to Criminal Justice professionals in RSCC service area.

• Serve on college committees and attend college functions as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

Master's degree in criminal justice required.
Teaching experience in higher education.
Experience advising students.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Knowledge of Criminal Justice professional standards.
Management/Administration experience.
