Job Description

The Out of School Time and Camp Program Director will be responsible for the overall planning, management, and execution of our school year before and after school programs and summer camp. This role includes curriculum development and delivery, hiring and developing staff, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and fostering positive relationships with children, parents, and the community.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in child-related field
  • 3 years of relevant experience in a licensed child care center
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse populations
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Understanding of budget development and revenue/expense management


Essential Functions

Exciting Responsibilities You'll Have as the Director:
  • Develop, plan, and implement innovative out of school time and camp programs that meet the needs and interests of children.
  • Ensure all children receive enriching educational programming with a focus on positive experiences and child outcomes.
  • Recruit, train, supervise, and evaluate program staff.
  • Ensure all programs comply with local, state, and federal regulations, including health and safety standards.
  • Manage program budgets.
  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with participants, parents, and community partners.
  • Monitor and evaluate program effectiveness and implement improvements as necessary.
  • Organize special events, field trips, and activities that enhance the program experience.
  • Manage program enrollment and maintain accurate records and reports.
  • Handle all issues in a fair and consistent manner.
  • Promote the programs through various marketing and outreach efforts.
