This is an hourly/wage position and is not entitled to the Commonwealth of Virginia's state benefits package. This position is limited to no more than 1500 hours in a 12-month period and averages no more than 29 hours a week.

The Virginia Department of Social Services is currently seeking a part-time Program Evaluation Monitoring Analyst. This position is limited to no more than 1500 hours in a 12-month period and averages no more than 29 hours a week. This position will be responsible for monitoring program performance for Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) funded program and services. This position will make review performance of community providers, review invoicing and reimbursement requests, make recommendations regarding implementation of policies and procedures, provide input in the development and revision of policies and procedures, and provide guidance to community providers.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Considerable experience in administration of human services.
  • Considerable knowledge of TANF program laws, regulations, and procedures.
  • Knowledge, skills, and abilities to interpret and analyze complex issues.
  • Basic knowledge of and skills in using personal computers, including presentation and spreadsheet software.
  • Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
  • Demonstrated ability to make independent decisions on complex and critical issues.
  • Ability to plan, organize, and manage projects or assignments with minimal supervision.
Additional Considerations
  • Knowledge of monitoring techniques.
  • Knowledge of contract management.
