The AWS Training and Certification (T&C) team is looking for a Program Manager, with business process experience, technical insight, education acumen, strong organizational skills, and interest in working cross-functionally within AWS to manage multiple global training programs.

The Program Manager within the AWS T&C Curriculum Team will support content development and release, working with AWS Product Managers, training program contacts, Technical Curriculum Architects, Curriculum Developers, Instructional Designers and subject matter experts across AWS. Accuracy, relevancy, and time to market are critical attributes for our training and you will be working with the Program teams and coordinating plans and schedules to ensure timely availability of our training offerings. To be successful in this role, the candidate must thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, have a passion for education, be consultative, have technical acumen, and technical experience and knowledge on the AWS platform. This role requires professional project management (PMP) certification, demonstrating excellent project management skills, strategic thinking and problem solving, and strong communication skills. The ideal candidate will be an organized self-starter with a strong bias for action that is not afraid to dig into the details to ensure we are working cross-functionally to facilitate content creation that is aligned to roles and technical roadmaps across various programs.

This role requires excellent program/project management skills, strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, and strong communication skills (including excellent writing skills.) The ideal candidate will be an organized self-starter with a strong bias for action and the ability to work with cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate will also have experience in training, instructional design or technical documentation, plus a healthy technical knowledge of IT domains, and experience in transforming technical information into professional engaging content. Outstanding business acumen and judgment, and bias toward data driven decision making are also required. Above all, you will have a passion for learning and contributing to team and customer success.

Key job responsibilities

• \tProvide influence, direction and guidance to ensure the development and release of high-quality training offerings.

• \tCoordinate cross-functional resources to review project deliverables and ensure completion of projects.

• \tActively review, contribute to, and monitor roadmaps to ensure timely engagement, planning and execution for training offerings.

• \tRecommend alternative approaches that reduce time to market while continuing to provide an engaging experience for the learner.

• \tReview performance of the portfolio for quality, accuracy, and relevancy.

• \tAggregate and provide continuous improvement feedback to content contributors based on course feedback outcomes.

• \tIdentify process improvement strategies to facilitate the creation and production of technical training.

• \tSome travel required (~10%).

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 3+ years of program or project management experience

- 3+ years of defining and implementing process improvement initiatives using data and metrics experience

- Knowledge of Excel (Pivot Tables, VLookUps) at an advanced level and SQL

- Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements

- Experience working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- 3+ years of driving end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership experience

- 3+ years of driving process improvements experience

- Experience in stakeholder management, dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organization

- Experience building processes, project management, and schedules

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $66,800/year in our lowest geographic market up to $142,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
