BlueSkyRisk, a subsidiary of NFP, is hiring a VP, Program Manager of Blue Sky Property.

BlueSkyRisk, established in 2014, is a rapidly growing managing general agency specializing in niche industry segments with challenging-to-place insurance risks. We've built best-in-class programs for sectors such as Legal Cannabis, Entertainment (including Liquor Liability), Logging, Mobile Home Parks, Psychedelics (including D&O), and continue to evaluate new market opportunities.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: To perform this job successfully, individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

• Underwriting: Quote, underwrite, and bind a portfolio of high volume new and renewal business. Relationship Management: Manage existing broker relationships and develop new sources of distribution.

• Program Development: Contribute to building internal SOPs and workflows.

• Expansion: Assist in expanding the MGA's authority with current carrier partners and securing additional reinsurance and carrier support. Reinsurance treaty renewal management.

• Management: Pending candidates experience initially manage or gradually take over responsibility of managing a current 4 person team. This candidate will be involved in the recruiting an training of new employees.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND/OR ABILITIES:

• Seeking a experienced Vice President, Underwriting who can take over responsibility of this new E&S property program.

• This individual will be part of the initial launch focused on building a property program via binding authority type transactional business and middle market account underwriting. The Binding authority business includes single location TIVS of $5M or less and middle market business includes multi-location schedules ~ $20M - $200M TIV and single location $10M - $25M TIV.

• The property program is non-critical CAT focused excluding tier 1 wind. The client delegated authority from two A- rated specialty E&S carriers for commercial property. The client will be adding primary casualty to the property offering in 60-90 days.

• Target Classes of Business including but not limited to:

• Hospitality

• Night/Adult Clubs

• Bars & Restaurants

• Sports & Entertainment

• Hotels/motels

• Lessor's Risk -

• Non-Habitational Real Estate (office buildings & retail)

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBLITIES: N/A

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

• 3-5 years of commercial property insurance underwriting experience at an E&S or carrier desk.

• Experience obtaining individual risk spot facultative reinsurance.

• Bachelor's degree required.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATION:

• P&C producer license required (can be obtained after hire).
