TikTok Trust & Safety
Our Trust & Safety team's commitment is to keep our online community safe. We have invested heavily in human and machine-based moderation to remove harmful content quickly and often before it reaches our general community. As a Program Manager on our Trust & Safety Product team, you will focus on Real World Harm issues, working to protect our community from harmful content and behaviors such as violent extremism, hateful behavior, mental health and human exploitation. You will bring 4-6 years of program management experience to the table, with a deep understanding of at least one of the real world harm issue areas, exposure to products within the tech space, and ability to identify problems and drive solutions quickly and efficiently. Your role will contribute to a high-performing team that owns several large whole-of-TnS projects with high visibility and impact.

It is possible that this role will be exposed to harmful content as part of the core role/as part of project/ in response to escalation requests/by chance. It can also include (but is not limited to) bullying; hate speech; child safety; depictions of harm to self and others, and harm to animals.

Responsibilities:
- Own and drive high impact projects that reduce the risk by leveraging your knowledge of real world harm issues (violent extremism, hateful behavior, mental health or human exploitation) and program management skills.
- Collaborate closely with product policy, intelligence, risk analysis, moderation and product teams to design and deliver end-to-end solutions and programs for the biggest risk areas.
- Understand the big picture of how real world harm manifests on the platform, support root cause analysis, and help to drive priorities for impactful projects.
- Stay up-to-date with the ever-evolving tech landscape, especially concerning high-harm content and behavior, and use this knowledge to inform program decisions.
- Leverage your proficiency in data analysis and data tools like Tableau for data-driven decision-making & improvements to safety programs and strategies.
- Assess gaps in business processes and cross-functional collaboration workflow; propose changes across SOPs, strategies, collaboration or tools to enable higher efficiency and better performance.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:
- 4+ years of experience in program management;
- Experience in content safety or a related field, with a preference for demonstrated expertise in one of the real world harm issue areas (violent extremism, hateful behavior, mental health or human exploitation);
- Organizational and program management skills, from initiation to execution to monitoring and reporting, and prior experience managing complex projects involving multiple stakeholders;
- Ability to influence product roadmaps and drive prioritization based on safety needs;
- Ability to think strategically and influence leadership decisions with sound arguments;
- Strong communication skills and ability to manage stakeholders across regions and cultures;
- Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g. SQL, Tableau) with the ability to derive insights and make informed decisions.
