The WW Inventory Defect Costs (IDC) team in Seller FBA (Fulfillment by Amazon) organization builds Seller facing reimbursement and risk management products, and owns seller facing policies. We are building a future where we capture, analyze, and explain every inventory defect that leads to reimbursement across all stages of the supply chain (i.e. inbound, distribution, storage, fulfillment, returns) and measure and improve Seller Experience.

The Inventory Defect Costs team, within DP&R, is composed of three key defect prevention verticals: defects that exist before they arrive to Amazon, defects that occur within Amazon's fulfillment network, and defects that lead to customer returns. This role is responsible for leading programs in one of these verticals, driving step function reductions in Amazon defect performance to deliver lower costs to Amazon customers and to improve Seller Experience.

This role's WW scope includes collaborating and driving seller contact reduction programs across multiple teams within the Amazon Fulfillment Network including: Seller Partner Services, Global Supply Chain, Amazon Fulfillment Technology, and Customer Returns and Re-Commerce. This role is responsible to identify opportunities across multiple VP-level organizations.

This role will be responsible for owning DP&R's approach to reduce a portion of DP&Rs Cost to Serve goal. This includes leading programs solving upstream partner challenges that are can be architectural and operational in nature with limited strategy defined. This position is expected to operate independently. As part of this, to understand problems effectively, this role requires the ability to identify risks and opportunities in strategies, and organizational structure. This position is be responsible for making tradeoff decisions across multiple teams, VP organizations, and policies. This role is also responsible for writing business updates, requirements, and aligning stakeholders.

Key job responsibilities

* Support the S-team goal of Seller Contact (emails/social media/chats) Elimination and Seller Experience

* Define and deliver important programs with broad cross-organizational and/or cross-regional business impact

* Use data analytics to deliver solutions and mechanisms that resolve significantly complex problems and provide a long-term beneficial impact on a large segments, both internally and externally to DP&R.

* Contribute both in and outside of DP&R to improves business efficiency, to simplify and to improve quality, to reduces bottlenecks, and to further deliver FBA's value proposition to sellers.

* Operate with autonomy, showing high judgment in decisions that have business and possibly technical implications.

* Represent, verbally and in writing, complex decisions, tough trade-offs, and potential solutions clearly to Directors and VPs.

* Build consensus. Align teams toward coherent strategies. Bring clarity to complexity, probe assumptions, illuminate pitfalls, and foster shared understanding

* Raise the bar managing Projects and leading Program Management

* Play a key role developing others, including mentoring, educating, and building force multipliers.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 5+ years of program or project management experience

- 5+ years of defining and implementing process improvement initiatives using data and metrics experience

- Knowledge of Excel (Pivot Tables, VLookUps) at an advanced level and SQL

- Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements

- Experience working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- 3+ years of driving end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership experience

- 5+ years of driving process improvements experience

- Experience in stakeholder management, dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organization

- Experience building processes, project management, and schedules

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $66,800/year in our lowest geographic market up to $142,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
