Job Summary
  • Manages all aspects of a diverse IT project or multiple IT projects, typically involving multiple Disciplines in the IT Function.
  • Utilizes expertise and leadership skills to direct staff and to resolve issues to ensure project goals and requirements are met.
  • Frequently connects with development teams and the business for sprint reviews.
  • Typically uses Scrum/Agile development techniques and tools for team collaboration, issue tracking and backlog management.
  • Adapts IT departmental plans and priorities to address resource and operational challenges.
  • Provides technical guidance to employees, colleagues and/or business partners.


Duties and Responsibilities

  • Executes programs to meet the needs of the organization and its employees or customers.
  • Promotes the program throughout the organization and tracks utilization.
  • Supervises the work of program or project staff to ensure that work in completed on time or in accordance with established standards or specifications.
  • Able to create detailed project schedules and ensure resources are accurately planned.
  • Accountable for delivering projects and programs on time and within budget.
  • Escalate issues in a timely manner to avoid disruption to schedules and budgets.
  • Ensures that activities are in compliance with organizational policies and any relevant external regulations.
  • Provides reports and updates to senior management or other stakeholders.
  • Directs and coordinates activities of IT departments program initiatives.
  • Monitors suppliers to ensure that they efficiently and effectively provide needed goods or services within budgetary limits.
  • Analyzes data to inform operational decisions or activities.
  • Takes proactive steps to minimize delays in project/program delivery.
  • Regularly communicates with customers/clients to arrange meetings, confirm program schedules, and discuss any program problems.
  • Ensures that customers and/or clients are regularly informed of the status of the program.
  • Regularly communicates with management regarding the programs status and any problems or potential problems.
  • Forecasts potential schedule delays and develops alternate plans.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
