Responsibilities:
Performs all aspects of Acquisition/Project Management support duties proficiently on assigned Global Power Bomber B-52 programs/projects to include training less knowledgeable personnel under the general supervision of a senior level Acquisition/Project Manager. Involved in the planning, provisioning, controlling, performance, and reporting on acquisition programs. Develop Program Management Plans, Work Breakdown Structures, Contract Data Requirement Lists (CDRL), Requests for Proposal (RFP), purchase requests, job orders, credit card acquisitions and Master Integrated Program Schedules. Provide recommendations for scenarios that may be out of the ordinary and under stressful conditions.

Proficient knowledge and/or academic understanding of DoD and Air Force system, subsystem, and equipment acquisition; and/or program management procedures pertinent to either development, procurement, production, logistics support, and/or techniques for employment for the system being acquired. -
Performs tasks using written and verbal guidance, schematics, concepts, strategic visions statements, and organizational goals to determine course of action to complete tasks with independent judgment related to quality, schedule, performance and prioritization. -
Plans and performs independent work as well as some team activities. Reports results to supervisor and/or customer at scheduled intervals and/or as required using reports, metrics and/or applicable deliverables. -
Determines tasks, as related to requirements, to be accomplished, there priority and necessary resources to accomplish the task in order to meet performance, cost and schedule requirements, and customer expectations. -
Develops, reviews, coordinates, and executes acquisition management plans and risk management plans to support daily operations, project/program phases and contingencies. -
Performs program management functions to include coordinating tasks associated with engineering, program control, configuration management, test, manufacturing and quality assurance, and integrated logistics support. -
Develop, identify, monitor, and update the critical Master Integrated Program Schedule tasks and activities to ensure acquisition milestones are met.
- A Master's Degree in a related field; and/or Bachelor Degree in Project Management with 3 years' experience; and/or Associates Degree with a minimum of 5 years' experience in Acquisition/Project Management field or other related discipline or formal academic/vocational training or years of project management/professional experience in the acquisition field.
- Must have a working knowledge of acquisition methods and practices sufficient to perform relatively routine procedures to more challenging and to prepare or make inputs to program or project cost, schedule, performance and quality for acquisition documents and procedures to plan, control; report and improve throughout the product life-cycle.
