Program Manager, WhatsApp Privacy Compliance Responsibilities


  • Project manage and prioritize work based on urgency and complexity.

  • Structure and lead complex cross-functional privacy compliance programs for WhatsApp and coordinate inter and cross-company initiatives.

  • Develop metrics and reporting dashboards to evaluate the effectiveness of privacy controls and risk identification.

  • Work closely with members of product, engineering, operations, communications, policy, legal, human resources (among others) to operationalize recommendations.

  • Manage large cross-functional teams and influence decision-making within leadership audiences.

  • Gather and analyze large amounts of information quickly in order to problem solve and drive decision-making effectively.

  • Prepare communication materials and progress tracking for multiple audiences including preparing and delivering presentations to leadership stakeholders.

  • Telecommute from anywhere in the U.S. permitted.


Minimum Qualifications


  • Requires a Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering and Management, Information Systems, Analytics, Mathematics, Physics, Applied Sciences, Business Administration (MBA), or a related field and three years of work experience in job offered or computer-related occupation.

  • Requires three years of experience in the following:

  • 1. Experience in program management, management consulting and business or strategic operations

  • 2. Working with technical and business stakeholders (including leadership)

  • 3. Partnering with cross-functional teams, driving alignment, effective escalations and achieving results

  • 4. Manage program risks through effective identification, mitigation, tracking, and reporting of the identified risks

  • 5. Select appropriate security and privacy metrics to measure the success of the program and highlight trends or themes from raw data

  • 6. Conduct privacy risk assessments using industry standard cybersecurity frameworks and effectively monitor and manage the privacy program

  • 7. Build appropriate security and privacy controls in the corporate environment by driving organization wide information security programs to achieve both the business and privacy program objectives.
