What We're Seeking: DATCP currently has an opening for a Program & Policy Analyst Adv- Management position with the Division of Food and Recreational Safety.
Where We're Located: The Prairie Oaks State Office Building is situated on Madison's southeast side. We are only minutes away from the Beltline Highway, Interstate 90 and Highway 51 for quick access to local restaurants, retail and service locations.
Telecommuting Option: This position may have the ability to telecommute. An approved telecommuting agreement is required before an employee may telecommute. Approval of the employee's telecommuting agreement and work schedule will vary based on the operational needs of the department. All DATCP employees who telecommute are required to live in Wisconsin.

Position Summary
This position is responsible for division-wide program planning, evaluation, and policy development and analysis in the areas of food and recreational safety. The work supports high-level decision-making and includes direct input to the Division Administrator and other division managers on major initiatives as well as national and statewide issues.

Salary Information
The classification of this position is Program & Policy Analyst-Adv Mgt, which is in schedule-range 81-03 with a starting pay of $36.00 per hour up to $40.00 per hour, commensurate with experience. Pay on appointment may vary according to the applicable pay transaction provisions of the compensation plan. Pay for current State employees will be set in accordance with the State Compensation Plan and Wisconsin Administrative Code. This position is not represented by a collective bargaining unit. A 12-month probationary period is required.

DATCP does not sponsor work visas. Any appointment made will be contingent on the selected applicant being able to provide documentation of eligibility to work in the United States.
A criminal background check will be performed on the selected applicant prior to an offer of employment.

Qualifications
Minimally qualified candidates will have each of the following:
Experience identifying, monitoring, and analyzing policy and/or program issues and making recommendations
Experience as a liaison to internal and external stakeholders (providing information, coordinating input, feedback for policy development and/or program improvement, etc.)
Experience researching data and creating succinct summary documents and/or recommendations
Experience with informal leadership (team lead, subject matter expert, etc.)
In addition, highly qualified candidates will have one or more of the following:
Experience presenting information to senior-level groups (management teams, company leaders, external stakeholders, etc.)
Experience drafting and analyzing administrative rulemaking and/or budget issue papers
Experience in a project management leadership role
