The RADD Data Analytics Bureau seeks a motivated and knowledgeable Research Data Specialist I (RDS I) to join State and Federal Reporting Unit #2. Under the general direction of a Research Data Supervisor I (RDS I (Sup)), the Research Data Specialist I (RDS I) is responsible for extraction and analysis of data for purposes of tracking and reporting on federal and state requirements for social services programs and policies. In addition, some reports will require that the RDS I either write new programming code, or review and edit existing code, to best meet consumers' needs.

Working Conditions
Hybrid Telework options are available in accordance with departmental guidelines. Onsite work is performed in an open-spaced, partitioned office. Work requires the use of a computer nearly 100% of the time; as such, the incumbent will need to be able to sit and type most of the workday. (Ergonomic evaluations can be provided upon request.)
This position requires the incumbent to maintain consistent and regular attendance; communicate effectively; develop and maintain knowledge and skills related to specific tasks, methodologies, materials, tools and equipment; complete assignments in a timely and efficient manner; and adhere to departmental policies and procedures.
Employees must reside in California.
This position may be eligible for hybrid telework under California Government Code Section 14200 for eligible applicants residing in California.
